Netviewer is a program which enables the API support team to access your computer allowing a faster solution to your problems with a hands on approach.
The download is accessible below and using the Netviewer is a simple process involving only a few steps which is shortly described below. If you are interested in more information regarding the use and functionality of Netviewer take a look at one of the two manuals also available below.
Downloads In this section you will find the Netviewer client and further information on the functionality available in the manuals.
Instructions starting a Netviewer session 1. Start the Netviewer one2one participant program by clicking the Start Netviewer button above. If you use Internet Explorer you can start the exe file straight away. With other browsers you first have to save a local copy of the file to your computer and execute it from there.
2. In the Participant login dialogue, enter the Session number as communicated to you by the consultant. If the sessions is password protected a further dialog box will appear. |
There are two modes available in Netviewer: Watch and Show. In Watch mode you will be able to see the content of the consultants screen. In order for the consultant to be able to access your computer you must select Show and enable Remote Control (hotkey F11 for enabling and disabling). A more detailed explanation of Show mode is available below.
In show mode Click on SHOW to switch to show mode. The first thing you see is a query. Only after your confirmation does Netviewer transfer the content of your screen to the consultant. In show mode, the mini panel with the main functions is always displayed in the foreground.
Notice: Pressing the security key (default F11) immediately revokes remote control from the consultant.
Exit session To exit a session, click on the mini-panel’s "Close"-button or close the Netviewer task in the Windows task bar.
Netplayer Here you can download a program allowing you to review the Netviewer sessions you have saved on your computer. This feature allows you to reexamine previous sessions with consultants when you see fit.
