The API PRO Work Order Management function is the core of the API PRO maintenance management system. With this tool, you can handle any kind of maintenance activities.
The Work Order Management function provides a variety of powerful tools giving you full control of everything from your unplanned breakdown maintenance, through your planned corrective maintenance to any of your overhaul projects.
Planning and scheduling of work orders is supported by a set of tools; The Job Monitor is used by the maintenance personnel to find and register feedback on work orders in a simple way. For planners, the accumulation function and the work order Gantt diagram ease the planning and scheduling of work orders. This is done by providing you with a fast overview of delayed work orders and availability of material and working staff. The accumulation tool allows you work with several work orders at a time. This means you can print job cards for several work orders in one go, delay a number of selected work orders to a later date or make other bulk changes for selected work orders in one operation.
Finally, the powerful API PRO analysis tools allow you to identify relevant information from all aspects of the work order feedback, allowing you to learn from your past and improve your maintenance performance.
API PRO Job Ordering is a communication tool that links production to maintenance, helping you eliminate inefficient communication and paperwork. Here, API PRO gives you instant access to reported problems, allowing you to solve them directly in the maintenance departments. This means that any work requests can be ordered through terminals or PCs located in the production area. Here, an operator specifies the problem, where it is, whether the line or machine has stopped, and then finally to which maintenance department the order should go.
Alternatively or as a supplement to Job Ordering, the Notification function can be used.
At any given time, the API PRO Production Calendar can generate a quick survey of planned downtime in your production, optimising your repair shutdown period planning. This feature also enables realistic calculations of stop and waiting time for machinery.
Where the Job Order function allows for selected personnel to report urgent problems into the system, Notifications allow for your all personnel to report more general problems. This could be a blown light bulb in an office or a dripping water tap – problems it would not make much sense to create an entirely new work order for. In these cases, API PRO allows you to make notifications instead. These can be attached to an existing work order or converted into a new work order, which you can attach other notifications to later on. By working with notifications, you reduce the number of work orders, leaving you with a more efficient handling of smaller tasks.
It is completely up to the user of the system whether to use Job Orders only, Notifications only – or to use a mix as described above.
